I can't believe it's the last week of school!! This year has definitely been different, but you all rose to the occasion and didn't let these challenges get in the way of your learning! You have all shined throughout this remote learning experience and I could not be more proud of each ans every one of you!! I miss you all and hope to see you in person soon!!! This week we will be talking about ice cream and doing some other fun summer activities! Have fun! Continuing to Learn: · Practice letters, letter sounds, beginning sounds, shapes, colors and/or numbers using the chalk ideas below. Write the numbers or letters, or draw shapes/circles of different colors in chalk on the driveway and use the water balloon activity or water spray bottle to make practicing fun!! · · Play a game of number war- get a deck of cards and take out all the cards with numbers. Split the deck between the 2 players and have each person put a card down for both to see. Which card is more? The person with the higher number keeps the cards. · Pick out a fun summer recipe to create together! Try to pick a recipe that would allow your child to be involved as much as possible. Practice measuring/counting together, reading the ingredients, collecting all of the ingredients around the kitchen, mixing, and even washing dishes together. Songs

This week we will be talking about the Ocean! I have a lot of fun activities for you to do at home and during our Zoom sessions! Here are some ideas for continued learning opportunities: · Practice your name and letters by making them using small cereal, mini marshmallows, fish crackers of buttons. · Write a simple sentence and draw a picture to go with it. Write about something that you like, such as a toy, a food, a place. · Count to 10, 20, 30 or 50. How high can you go? Jump every time you say a 10…10, 20, 30, etc…Touch your toes when you say a 5…15, 25, 35, etc… · Practice identifying body parts (ex- eyes, nose, head, arm, leg, belly, etc). You can ask your child to point to certain body parts on themselves or on you or you can point to a body part and ask them to identify it verbally. · Work on social questions. Ask your child to answer questions regarding their first name, last name, full name, age, gender, school, teachers, birthday, address, town, phone numbers or parents names. · Get some exercise with the Letter Sounds Workout!
